Ecostor, an energy storage original equipment manufacturer (OEM), required a solution to house heavy car batteries for a battery storage application. They required the solution to be heavy-duty, mobile, flexible, and shock- and vibration-resistant.
After calculating the time and cost of creating a proprietary solution, Ecostor chose the Schroff Varistar CP Mobile Cabinet. The modular design offers a high degree of flexibility, while the welded frame construction provided shock and vibration resistance to IEC 61587-1 class DL6 and support for static loads up to 1600 kg.
Using the nVent SCHROFF online configurator, the Ecostor was able to expedite the design and approval processes. A wide range of accessories, “look and feel” options including silkscreen, powder-coating and digital printing, and support for assembly and installation completed the solution.
