nVent SCHROFF at Embedded World 2024 in Hall 1, Stand 1-211 Connectivity and Integration: Advanced Computing Building Blocks
nVent Electric plc, a leading global provider of electrical and protection solutions, will be showcasing its wide range of high-performance components and reliable solutions in the field of advanced computing at this year's Embedded World in Nuremberg from April 9 to 11, 2024 under the motto "Integration and Connectivity - Building Blocks for Advanced Computing". Areas of expertise include "Engineering Partner", "Maximum Performance", "Thermal Management", "Connectivity" and "Integration" and at the exhibition nVent SCHROFF will be displaying tried and tested product solutions.
As an engineering partner, nVent SCHROFF supports its customers from development to the complete system for the final application. Customers receive support right from the start in putting together their customized system, including tests and simulations. The corresponding online configurators make this straightforward. Many components and solutions enable a high degree of flexibility individual designs. For example, nVent SCHROFF is presenting its RatiopacPRO Style platform for measuring and testing devices or laboratory instruments. Users select one of 220 standard enclosures or create their design using the RatiopacPRO Style configurator, drawing from a wide range of sizes, frames, perforations, EMC solutions, and expansion options and accessories such as new handle designs. An extensive range of colors is available for a distinctive design, and the option to print on the surfaces allows users upload endless design possibilities.
Increasing requirements in advanced computing, such as higher data rates and clock frequencies, also demand maximum performance in terms of EMC for the enclosure solutions used. Electronics must be increasingly protected against electromagnetic interference. To offer developers future-proof and safe solutions, nVent SCHROFF has further developed its enclosures and subracks. Special side panel covers and new cover plates, which can also be retrofitted to existing systems in the field, significantly improve shielding attenuation in a frequency range of up to 40 GHz.
The increasing performance of advanced systems is also bringing the topic of heat management into more and more focus. nVent SCHROFF has a laboratory where experts use simulations and tests to develop appropriate cooling solutions for the overall system that are optimized to individual operating conditions. Interesting examples with combined cooling options will be presented at the trade fair stand.
Regarding connectivity, nVent SCHROFF will present a backplane built according to the latest CPCI Serial specification. A newly formed working group in the PICMG, with the support of nVent SCHROFF, has revised the existing specification to meet the increasing data rate requirements in the market. Backplanes currently available on the market support the current standard up to PCI Express Gen3; the new standard will support PCI Express Gen4 accordingly. The new backplane from nVent SCHROFF thus enables a doubling of the previous data rate and now also supports 10 GbE-KR in addition to 10 GbE-T.
nVent SCHROFF supplies individual components and modules for advanced computing. It actively supports its customers with integration when setting up an overall system. nVent SCHROFF demonstrates the entire spectrum of integration with a complex model that shows all stages of integration, starting with the mechanical structure and the integration of fans, backplanes, and controllers and finally through to integration in an electronics cabinet.
The innovations presented at the trade fair clearly show that nVent SCHROFF is more than a manufacturer of mechanical enclosures. The company focuses on individual solutions for various markets, such as telecommunications, measurement and testing technology, aerospace and many other computing-intensive sectors.
